Broadcasts
Send one message to a single number, a segment, or a list of numbers you upload.
What it does
Broadcasts are how you reach many people at once: a product launch, an offer, an important notice. You choose the audience, choose or write the message, and AIM Automate sends it and tracks delivery for you.
Sending a broadcast
- Go to Send a Broadcast and click Send message.
- Pick your audience:
- a single number, handy for testing;
- a saved segment, where you can untick individual contacts before sending;
- leads at the pipeline stages you choose;
- an uploaded list of phone numbers from a CSV or Excel file.
- Choose the message:
- an approved template, which you need when you're starting the conversation, or
- a free-form message, for contacts who have written to you in the last 24 hours.
- Attach the header file if your template has an image or document header. Click Upload image or Upload PDF to send one from your computer, or paste a public link to the file.
- Fill in the template's placeholders (name, order number and so on).
- Review and send.

Delivery and pacing
- A large broadcast keeps going after you leave the page, so you don't have to wait on the screen.
- Messages go out at a steady pace that fits your plan and WhatsApp's rules. This protects your number's quality rating.
- Delivery status updates as it happens: sent, delivered, read.
- Every broadcast is logged as its own campaign, so Reports โ Message Delivery shows what each one achieved instead of one combined total.
WhatsApp's daily limit on new conversations
Separately from your plan, Meta caps how many new contacts your number can message in a day. A business that hasn't completed Meta Business Verification starts at 250 per day.
The send screen shows how many you have left today. If your audience is bigger than that, the broadcast still goes out and you get a warning: the messages over the cap will fail and appear in the Not delivered section of the report. Complete Meta Business Verification to raise the limit.
The 24-hour rule
WhatsApp only allows free-form messages within 24 hours of a customer's last message. Outside that window you have to use an approved template. The send screen reminds you of this, so a message doesn't quietly fail because the window has closed.
Good to know
- Test on a small segment first to check the wording and placeholders.
- Keep marketing broadcasts relevant and not too frequent. Too many promotions can lower your number's rating and get you blocked.
- Use placeholders. A message that greets someone by name does much better than a generic one.
A broadcast is a megaphone. Point it at the right segment with a message people actually want, and it becomes one of your best channels.
