WhatsApp Calling
Keep a log of business calls and follow up on missed calls automatically.
What it does
If customers call your WhatsApp Business number, AIM Automate keeps a log of those calls and can react to missed ones for you. A missed call becomes a chance to follow up instead of a lost lead.
Find the log under Setup โ Call Log.
The call log
- Every call is listed with the contact, the time, the direction (incoming or outgoing), how long it lasted and how it ended.
- From any call you can Call back, Open chat to see the WhatsApp conversation, or Send follow-up.
- Where available, a call comes with an AI summary so you get the gist at a glance.
- The top of the page shows how many calls you've had in the current period.
Missed-call follow-up
A missed call can start a workflow. For example:
- A customer calls and nobody answers.
- The Missed WhatsApp call trigger fires.
- The workflow sends them a WhatsApp message ("Sorry we missed you! How can we help?") and can let your team know.
To go further, send a tappable menu so the caller can say what they need. See the IVR Menus guide.
Good to know
- WhatsApp Calling needs to be available on your WhatsApp number and included in your plan. Contact support if you don't see Call Log under Setup.
- Set up a missed-call workflow so every caller hears back from you.
- Keep the follow-up warm and helpful. A quick reply often saves the sale.
- Look through the log now and then to spot times of day when you're missing calls.
With calling switched on, a missed ring turns into a WhatsApp follow-up, and nobody who tried to reach you is left waiting.
