Marketing Reports
See what WhatsApp cost you, who it reached and how much revenue it brought back.
Where to find it
Reports โ Marketing. A tab bar across the top switches between Overview, Broadcasts, Automations, CTWA, Catalog, Support and Preferences.
Every report has a Period picker: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days (the default), Last 30 days, This month, Last month, or Date-wise for your own dates. Each figure is compared with the period of the same length just before it.
Overview
| Tile | What it means |
|---|---|
| WA Fees | What your WhatsApp messages cost in the period, in your store currency. |
| Revenue | The value of orders credited to WhatsApp, not counting cancelled ones. |
| ROWS | Return on WhatsApp spend: revenue divided by WA fees. 24.5x means every 1 you spent brought back 24.5. |
| AOV | Average order value of those orders. |
| Msgs Sent / Delivered / Read | Your message funnel. A read message also counts as delivered and sent. |
| Total Orders Converted | Orders credited to WhatsApp that weren't cancelled. |
| Cancelled Orders | Credited orders that were later cancelled or refunded. |
Each tile also shows the Previous value and the change in percent. Green means good news, so for fees and cancellations a drop shows green. Below the tiles, Revenue vs WA fees plots the two day by day.
How an order gets credited
Orders come from your connected Shopify or WooCommerce store, and from carts customers send from your WhatsApp catalog.
An order counts as converted by WhatsApp when the customer received a message from you, or started a chat from one of your click-to-WhatsApp ads, within the attribution window before ordering (7 days unless you change it). The credit goes to the last broadcast or workflow message they received in that window. A reply typed by a teammate never takes the credit away from that campaign, and each order is credited to one campaign at most.
This is decided when the order arrives. A broadcast sent later never claims an earlier order, and changing the window only affects new orders.
The other tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Broadcasts | One row per broadcast: recipients, sent, delivered, read, failed, WA fees, orders, revenue and ROWS. |
| Automations | One row per workflow: trigger, runs, completed runs, the message funnel, fees, orders, revenue and ROWS. Paused workflows are labelled. |
| CTWA | Click-to-WhatsApp ads: conversations, unique contacts, orders, revenue and conversion rate, with a View ad link for each ad. |
| Catalog | Product messages sent, carts received, items ordered and cart value, plus how often each product was shared and ordered. |
| Support | Ticket and satisfaction figures from the shared inbox. See the Support Overview & CSAT guide. |
Broadcasts, Automations, CTWA and Catalog each have an Export CSV button that downloads the table for the chosen period.
Preferences
Open the Preferences tab (also under Reports โ Preferences).
- Store currency: the currency every report shows money in. If your WhatsApp fees are billed in another currency, you can enter your own Exchange rate, or leave it empty to use the live rate.
- Attribution window: how many days (1 to 30) before an order a WhatsApp message can still earn the credit.
- Scheduled analytics email: tick Send analytics emails, then pick the Frequency, the Time (in your workspace time zone) and the Recipients (separated by commas; leave it empty to use your billing email).
- Click Save preferences.
| Frequency | When it arrives | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | Every day | The previous day |
| Weekly | On the day you pick | The previous 7 days |
| Monthly | On the 1st | The previous calendar month |
Good to know
- CTWA needs no setup. Run Meta ads with WhatsApp as the destination and the conversations show up here.
- An order without a phone number can't be matched to a contact, so it isn't counted.
- Revenue tracking starts when your store is connected. Older orders aren't imported.
- A broadcast's row counts all of its messages and credited orders, even ones that land after the period ends.
- Read counts depend on each customer's read-receipt setting, so treat them as a minimum.
ROWS is the number to watch. If it climbs while WA fees stay flat, your messages are getting better, not just louder.
